Your Questions Answered
Is your honey raw?
Yes. Our honey is raw and unpasteurised, so it keeps its natural enzymes, antioxidants and flavour profile.
Is your honey sustainable?
Yes. We work with ethical beekeepers, support bee‑friendly habitats and use eco‑conscious packaging to keep our honey as sustainable as possible.
Is your honey British?
Our Wildflower, Soft Set and Heather honeys are British. Our Acacia, Sunflower and Linden honeys are sourced from trusted beekeepers in Romania.
What is raw honey made of?
Raw honey is mainly natural sugars (fructose and glucose) with small amounts of other sugars, trace minerals, vitamins, enzymes, organic acids and antioxidant compounds.
What is the difference between nectar and honey?
Nectar is the sweet liquid plants produce in their flowers. Bees collect nectar and transform it into honey in the hive, where enzymes and evaporation thicken it into a concentrated, long‑lasting food store.
How much water does your honey contain?
Our Acacia honey has an optimal moisture content of about 15–19%, which keeps the flavour and texture stable. Some mass‑produced honeys can contain far more water, which usually means they have been over‑diluted or harvested too early.
Does your honey contain sugar or syrup?
No. We never add sugar, corn syrup or any other sweeteners to our honey; all sweetness comes naturally from the nectar the bees collect.
Is raw honey safe?
Raw honey is safe for healthy older children and adults when consumed in moderation. It should never be given to babies under 12 months because of the risk of infant botulism, and it should not be heated above about 40°C if you want to preserve its natural properties.
