About this honey

What Makes Our Acacia Special

Single-origin from a single short harvest window, bottled raw.

Product images are indicative. Natural raw honey varies in colour and texture by batch and season - that variation is the signature of authentic single-origin honey.

How to enjoy

Six Ways to Use Acacia Every Day

Acacia is the most versatile honey in our range. Here is where it earns its place.

In tea, any tea

Green, white, black, or herbal. Acacia is mild enough to sweeten without masking the tea's character. The preferred honey for tea purists.

🥤

In smoothies

Dissolves instantly into any blender. Never grainy, never sinks. Clean sweetness that does not fight with the fruit.

🥣

Drizzled on Greek yoghurt

With fresh berries or sliced banana. The mildest honey for the creamiest yoghurt. Works especially well with plain, unsweetened varieties.

🍋

With warm lemon water

A teaspoon of Acacia in warm water with lemon juice. A gentle morning ritual. The honey dissolves easily even in cooler liquid.

🥐

Over mild cheese

Fresh ricotta, goat cheese, or mozzarella. Acacia's subtle sweetness lets soft, mild cheese shine without overpowering it.

🍰

In baking and desserts

When you want sweetness without a strong honey flavour. Works in lemon drizzle cakes, panna cotta, custards, and pastry creams.

Why stock up

Why Three Jars of Acacia?

Our most versatile honey is also our fastest to disappear.

1

It Runs Out Fastest

Acacia is the honey people use every day. In tea, in smoothies, on yoghurt, in recipes. A single 280g jar rarely lasts a household more than three to four weeks of regular use.

2

Slow to Crystallise

Acacia's naturally high fructose content means it crystallises very gradually. A second or third jar can sit in the cupboard for months without losing quality.

3

Limited Harvest Window

Acacia trees only bloom for a few weeks each May and June. Once the season's harvest is gone, there is no more until next year.

4

Free Delivery, 5% Off

Three jars qualifies for free UK delivery, and you save 5% on the trio. Buying three is meaningfully cheaper than three separate jars.

What Sets It Apart

Raw Honey vs Supermarket Honey

Not all honey is the same. Here is what sets ours apart.

HoneyBee & Co. Raw Honey

  • Never heated. Cold-extracted to preserve natural enzymes, pollen, and antioxidants.
  • Never blended. Single-origin from one geographical location with full traceability.
  • Minimal filtering. Natural pollen and beneficial compounds stay in the jar.
  • Fully traceable. Every batch tracked from hive to jar. Our British honey supplier holds SALSA Certification.

Typical supermarket honey

  • Pasteurised. Heated to 70 degrees or more, destroying natural enzymes.
  • Blended. "Blend of EU and non-EU honeys" with zero traceability.
  • Ultra-filtered. Pollen removed entirely, making origin impossible to verify.
  • Often adulterated. Some imported honeys contain added sugar syrups.
Three generations of the Nistor family of beekeepers - Fanel, Grigore, and Dragos Nistor - founders of HoneyBee & Co.

Six Generations. Two Countries.

From our family to yours.

Our story begins in the forests and meadows of Transylvania, where the Nistor family has tended bees for six generations. Same hives, same flora, same craft - passed from grandfather to grandson, mother to daughter.

Founder Dragos Nistor brought that tradition to Britain and built it out from there - partnering with British beekeepers in Yorkshire and the English Midlands whose work meets the same exacting standards: raw, unblended, traceable, and ethical.

Whether the jar in your hand came from our family hives or from one of our British partners, the standard is the same: raw, unblended, traceable, and ethical.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

How long will three jars of Acacia last?
It depends on usage, but for a household using honey in tea, on yoghurt, or in baking each day, three 280g jars typically last around three months. Acacia is our fastest-moving honey because it is so versatile.
Will the honey crystallise before I finish it?
Acacia is the slowest of all our honeys to crystallise thanks to its high fructose content. Even after several months, it usually stays liquid. If it does begin to set, warm the jar gently in a bowl of warm water (below 40 degrees) for a few minutes.
Where exactly does this honey come from?
All three jars come from our family apiaries in Transylvania, Romania. The Nistor family has kept bees in these same Acacia forests for six generations. Single-origin, single-harvest, traceable to one apiary.
How does the saving compare to buying jars individually?
Buying three jars individually would cost £32.97 at £10.99 each. The stock-up pack is £31.32, a 5% saving plus free UK delivery.
Is Acacia honey suitable for diabetics?
Acacia has one of the lowest glycaemic index ratings of any honey variety, around 32. That is significantly lower than refined sugar at 65. However, honey is still a free sugar and people managing blood sugar should consult their doctor.
How should I store the jars?
Room temperature, cool and dry, away from sunlight. Do not refrigerate. Use a clean dry spoon each time. Properly stored Acacia honey remains safe to eat indefinitely.
What is the delivery time?
Free UK delivery on every stock-up pack. Standard delivery is 2 to 5 working days, dispatched Monday to Friday via Royal Mail tracked.
Can I subscribe to receive Acacia regularly?
Yes. Subscribe and save 20% on Acacia honey - monthly or every three months. Cancel or pause any time.
