Where Our Honey Comes From

Our Acacia, Linden, and Sunflower honeys come from our family hives in the forests and meadows of Transylvania, Romania. Dragos Nistor is the sixth generation of his family to keep bees in this region. Each variety is extracted on-site and shipped without pasteurisation or filtration.

Our British honeys, including Wildflower, Soft Set, and the single-origin Heather from the Yorkshire Moors, come from independent UK beekeepers whose supplier holds SALSA Certification. We work with small producers rather than commodity channels, which means the beekeeper receives a fair price and you receive a traceable jar.

We have never used plastic in our packaging and we do not plan to start. Paper decomposes in 2 to 6 weeks; the plastic alternative takes 400 to 1,000 years. Our choice was made at the start and has not changed.

The labels are paper, applied by hand and finished with cotton thread. When your order arrives, you will find a carton box filled with shredded paper, with each jar wrapped in paper sheets and supported by paper tape. Every element can go into a recycling or compost bin. The glass jar itself can be cleaned and reused as a storage jar, vase, or kitchen container.
