Why subscribe to linden
Of the six honeys in our range, Linden is the most aromatic and the most distinctive in flavour. Here is why it earns the subscription slot.
01
The "evening" honey
Linden has a distinctive minty, slightly herbal character traditionally taken with chamomile, herbal teas, or warm milk. In Eastern Europe it is the household honey for winding down. A teaspoon at the end of the day.
02
Single short bloom each year
Linden trees blossom for only two to three weeks each summer. The harvest window is narrow and total stock is limited. Subscribers are first in line as new harvest comes in.
03
05
Single jar price is £10.99. Subscription price is £8.79 per jar at every frequency. The saving is automatic and permanent for as long as you subscribe.

Never run out of Linden
Linden is the bedside-cupboard honey. Cups of tea, hot toddies, the spoon-after-dinner ritual. Households who use it daily go through a 280g jar in five to seven weeks.
Our Linden harvest depends on the lime tree bloom each summer. When seasonal stock is limited, subscribers are served before one-time buyers.
No minimum term, no cancellation fee, no retention hoops. If Linden is not working out, you cancel and stop paying.

Raw
Two properties worth knowing about raw Linden. The full profile is on the product page.
Aromatic compounds
Linden honey is rich in farnesol, terpenes, and other volatile aromatic compounds drawn from lime tree (Tilia cordata) blossom. These give the honey its distinctive minty-eucalyptus character that no other honey replicates.
Linden contains the highest aromatic compound load of any honey we sell. Heat destroys these volatiles entirely, which is why supermarket Linden tastes flat. Our Linden is cold-extracted and never heated above hive temperature.

Raw Linden vs Supermarket Linden
Most supermarket Linden is pasteurised (which kills the volatile aromatics that make Linden distinctive), ultra-filtered, and often blended with cheaper honeys. Raw, single-origin Transylvanian Linden is a different product entirely.
HoneyBee & Co. Raw Linden
- Never heated in processing. Cold-extracted to preserve enzymes, pollen, and antioxidants.
- Single-origin Transylvania. From the Nistor family apiaries. One harvest window, one provenance.
- Minimally filtered. Natural pollen stays in the jar, keeping origin verifiable.
Every jar carries a GS1 barcode and the harvest details on the label.
Typical supermarket Linden
Heated to 70 degrees or more, destroying enzymes and changing flavour.
Multiple countries of origin combined into one anonymous jar.
Pollen removed, making origin impossible to verify by lab analysis.
Independent studies have found added sugar syrups in a significant share of imported honey.

A Subscription Is a Relationship, Not a Transaction

"When you subscribe, you become part of something my family has been doing for six generations. The same beekeepers. The same forests. The same standards, season after season. That's what a subscription really means: a relationship, not a transaction. We do not switch sources to hit a price point, and we do not dilute the product to scale volume."
Featured in Vogue's Summer Hot List across three consecutive editions in summer 2024. NHS 15% Discount available for all NHS staff. Every jar GS1-barcoded for full traceability from the hive to your table.
